Mr. Goehner, I am not a Jackass, as you have been overheard saying to any number of your followers. I am the Elephant in the room! I am also a staunch Conservative; the intellectual type. Also, What I am is an honest, uncompromising advocate for doing things the right way, the honest way, the first time around. FYI, Anytime that I comment that I am going to be changing direction I will definitely offer a detailed description of where we are and where we need to be. Within that narrative, I will also explain how we are going to get there. I would never use that trite phrase to concoct a phony alibi with some nonsensical strategy intended to confuse and deflect criticism. Read the rest of this entry »
The following is my pledge to the citizens of Chelan County. I am not going to condone business as usual. My opponent appears to dismiss the past twelve years by arguing that better decisions have been made recently. I would tend to argue that he has failed to clean up the mess that he is, in part, responsible for making. Read the rest of this entry »
Please note that on the Foundation’s most recent mailing, on the outside of the return envelope they have made room for an endorsement, bottom left, and an artist’s rendering of the Hospital. The endorsement could have been made by any of thousands of donors. If the endorsement absolutely had to be made by a Trustee, they had a choice of nearly twenty. Read the rest of this entry »
My entry into the race to replace three time incumbent Keith Goehner, currently serving as District #2 Chelan County Commissioner, is bringing out, silently albeit, a whole host of self-anointed press people. These individuals have stories to tell that are more like lies, than they are akin to the truth. In at least one instance a private letter I sent was breached by a former member of the Cashmere School Board. She, as per usual, got the message wrong but continued to spread her venomous lies across the community. Like with Mr. Goehner, the transparency surrounding these matters is lacking. In this race you truly need to listen carefully, while attempting to discern the real underlying message these self-styled know-it-all’s happily carry. Read the rest of this entry »
As a responsible blogger I take full responsibility for my blog and its content. I choose to run my blog as a true non-profit. I lose money on my blog, year in and year out. I am not obsessed with making money from the people that frequent my blog. Read the rest of this entry »
A political hack I am not. As the area’s most consistently Conservative voice, I do not protect either friends or acquaintances. I do not make stupid statements like, ‘that didn’t happen on my watch.’ I am not looking for an (R) or a (C) after their name, I am looking at their record as I see it. I will give anyone who asks the time to hear them out. I check my facts and I respect those that have proven to be fiscally conservative in their endeavors. Read the rest of this entry »
News outlets, KPQ in particular, are reporting that if my lead holds up (2nd place), then there will be a runoff between Mrs. Franklin and me; Chuck Slowe. If that is the case I will be scheduling forums with my opponent invited; she has no history of going out and meeting the public. She can bus all the people in that she chooses, room available. Their M.O. is to attempt to intimidate the opposition. I may bring my college transcripts and C.V. (curriculum vitae) just in case her supporters get unruly. Again, this all depends on the actual outcome and whether or not the local news agencies are correct.
