OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Earlier today, September 29, 2014, I stopped by Bridge Car Wash. That is my Car Wash of choice. Today spent $2.25 to wash the grit, grime and bugs off my car. I like the brush option to get the heavy stuff off, prior to using the trigger wash. Sometimes I may need to bring a large sponge to work in concert with the trigger spray. PETCO

For sometime I have been thinking about getting Sadie’s nails trimmed, a bath and a treatment to help suppress her shedding. All of that happened earlier today, Monday, September 29, 2014. When I left Sadie’s nails had been trimmed and then waiting her turn in line she was placed in a cage for a period of time. Before I left to run some errands, I watched from afar to make sure that she was adjusting well to the cage. She was doing famously. Read the rest of this entry »

I-594

I-594, on the 2014 WA State ballot, is a poorly written 18 page law, proposed, looking to close a single supposed loophole. What this law, funded by billionaires, really does is comes after you, the law abiding gun owner, with the full force of an interfering government. This proposed law will not accomplish what the TV spokespeople claim. Read it and then decide your position, with the facts on your side. Read the rest of this entry »

ANNOY

The Daily Signal reports the following about a purported grass roots effort to, in effect, silence Rush Limbaugh. I have seen the same sort of effort being orchestrated locally. That effort died a quick, miserable death. Read the rest of this entry »

MANSON_GRANGE

On Tuesday September 30, 2014 there will be a candidates’ forum. The Grange Hall is located off East Wapato Way, on North Harris Avenue. That location is approximately two blocks West of the Red Apple Market. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the forum begins at 7:00 PM. I will be there to present my case. Read the rest of this entry »

JM

I am prone to check the spot prices for bullion, gold and silver, every day or so, online. My old reliable provider, Merit Financial, has gone out of business. It took me less than an hour to find another low priced competitor to fill the hole. I am now doing business with JM Bullion. Read the rest of this entry »

TOOLS

As of today, it will be approximately three weeks, probably more, before your ballots arrive. You need to remember that the incumbent has helped create an expensive revolving door when it comes to the permanent position, Director of Community Development. This revolving door can cost tens of thousands of dollars each time that a new pool of candidates needs to be assembled for scrutiny. Not long ago four candidates were interviewed, yet again, for this position and all four were rejected. I am not sure the cost associated with assembling that particular candidate pool but in 2008 it cost about $20,000 as payment to the Bellevue headhunting firm. Read the rest of this entry »

The Goehner Dilemma!

The Goehner Dilemma!

Keith Goehner has claimed in an interview with the upper valley papers that he is just one of three, when it comes to the Chelan County Commissioners. He is correct, to a point. However, as one of three, I have been unable to find any instances where he has split from the other two on crucial votes. Perhaps the commissioner has just been on the right side of every issue with his fellow commissioners; I doubt that. Read the rest of this entry »

SHOTS

During the Chelan County Fair, I stopped by the Bi-Mart booth and got my latest edition of a Flu Shot. It took just a few minutes and there was absolutely no pain involved. Most pharmacies are now offering them, along with Costco and others. Bring your insurance card or ask in advance how much the cost is going to be. As the legal guardian for my mother, I have been going with here to Tree Top Wenatchee. They continue to offer to their workers, their families, retirees and their families, free flu shots.
