This is primarily a political blog.  I don’t get talking points and do not appreciate having them tossed my way.  I am an independent thinker who happens to be a fiscal and social conservative.  I appreciate thoughtful people.  If you claim a religion I respect that if you understand the basics of your religion.

Like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Patrick Leahy I am a Catholic.  Unlike them, I understand the basic tenets of my religion.  I understand the difference between my church’s stand on capital punishment and its stand on abortion.

I am a huge advocate of not only rights but responsibilities.  If one is not responsibly engaged then I am not sure what they are even doing here.  I love to learn by writing my blogs and from an eclectic mix of interesting and thoughtful comments.  I watch all cable news channels but do have my favorite hosts.  I appreciate responsible hosts who make me think.

People like Lawrence O’Donnell and Keith Olbermann do not make me think.  They spew propaganda and I do not need to be preached to about economics, politics or values.  I especially enjoy guests like Dick Morris and provocative hosts like Lou Dobbs and Bill O’Reilly.  I think for myself and it is unlikely that I am looking to be led.  If you have a subject that you might like to have me blog about give it a shot.  I am eclectic in terms of my preferences.
