……….Within the past few days I posted blog number 1,000. In some ways that is a real milestone in the first 250 days of my blog. Only one time that I can recall, did I not post at least one blog for the day. That was a week or so ago and I had some other issues that kept me from doing what I had grown accustomed to doing on a rather regular basis. I have a lot of subjects that I am anxiously looking forward to posting particular blogs. I will be writing a number of pieces about local politics and the cost of ignorance. I will blog about our local County Port Commission and their silly real estate deals over the past decade plus. They have clearly demonstrated that they have no idea about how to manage or promote economic development. With tax monies from property taxes and the state, the monetary aspect has not been a hindrance thus far for these clueless political types.

……….I will also continue with my assault on the local PUD Commissioners. As a group they have most definitely not been able to understand the budget problems from a macro perspective. I understand that they inherited this and other problems but it seems that they have been slow to respond with respect to a solution. I have higher expectations than they obviously are demonstrated with respect to fixing the budget problems permanently. We need better information and more pressing questions when these candidates are interviewed by local media. Some of them prepare a very nice stealthy account to make them seem like they are more understanding of the issues than they actually are. By the same token, these editorial boards need to get their acts up to speed as well. They actually seem to have missed the point as to what is important and what should be considered irrelevant.
