……….As the year quickly comes to a close I have been busy closing the books on some of my enterprises. I have been preparing reports, preparing bills for the new year and making sure that all of the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed. I have also been taking some time to reflect on the most relevant stories of 2009. Earlier my area had a few inches of snow, so New Year’s Eve will be cold, white and dangerous for the few silly enough to drink and drive. I am going to do my celebrating at home. ……….Is our President a socio-path? He comes out to deliver a supposedly serious message to the American public and his facial expressions and his words are not in sync with the seriousness of the situation. This President comes out at one briefing and is smiling and laughing, giving shout outs to people in the audience. The topic of his remarks, 13 dead military at Fort Hood. He brings in people to his inner circle and they are more concerned with renaming things (terrorism) rather than protecting the public. Read the rest of this entry »
……….At midnight tonight, the end of 2009, my blog will have been online for exactly 6 months, minus 3 days. During that time I have had more than 62,000 visitors and nearly 220,000 page loads. I have had a one day high of more than 1,000 visitors. My blog is mostly pertaining to national issues. I enjoy a rather significant International audience. On any given day my visitors include approximately 15% from Russia and / or Japan. I also have a reasonably decent local audience; that includes enemies keeping tabs on me. ……….My local Costco store has 3 ingredients that make it easy to fix a great treat for Football, Basketball and friends over the holiday season. This hors d’oeuvre consists of slices of Klement’s summer sausage (3 lb. stick), Ritz crackers (open face) and Kirkland Signature Sharp Cheddar Cheese (2 lb. block). All three of the items are available at my local Costco and the cost will set you back less than $15. Read the rest of this entry »
……….One has to wonder how Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano ever earned the right to ascend to such a position. Recently, over the past weekend, she has clearly demonstrated that she has no business serving in such a high level capacity. I am further perplexed as to how she remained Governor of Arizona as long as she did. Her handling of the recently failed terror attack has only served to reinforce the level of incompetence she brings to her job. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Remember the interesting & foolish character, Omarosa, from the Apprentice? I have been thinking that she is perhaps the one missing person the Obama administration still needs to make it complete. Imagine, if these two basking sharks would team up, we would have the predator, ObamaRosa. They are both very much full of themselves. Neither of them has a specific need or desire to listen. Both of them have the notion that they know all there is to know. What a match, what a pairing. Even Omarosa seems to make Michelle (Jethrine) Obama seem palatable for at least a short period of time. In fact, all three of them are perhaps best associated with greed while remaining clueless. ……….Why do the left wing loons continue to refer to all of the right as the party of ‘NO”? Well, I must say that it serves an ingenious distraction for them as the uninformed, misinformed and clueless are easily swayed by that pseudo argument. Actually, I would have to say that the real party of ‘NO’ are those on the left who never want to be challenged on any legislative attempts. They want people like me to blindly accept their silly notions of climate change. They want me to accept Al Gore’s claims even though his knowledge of the earth is essentially teetering on the absurd. The real party of ‘NO’ includes the likes of Gore, Obama, Pelosi, Reid and others who would prefer that we follow rather than question. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Are you a thinker or a talker? I, personally, would consider myself a thinker. My interests as well as my thoughts are eclectic. The way approach and deal with problems is eclectic as well. Nothing in my life is formulaic, unless the notion of my uncertainty could be taken into account. I enjoy ideas and people with interesting ideas. I enjoy the company of people that could be categorized as intellectually unpredictable. I get little satisfaction from people who consistently read the same drivel and do not even take the time to repackage it prior to disseminating it in a slightly different package. ……….Remember when our most gifted President offered greetings to Queen Elizabeth and British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown? He was clueless then and now, just yesterday, a Nigerian national, living in London, flew to the United States, from Lagos Nigeria, through Amsterdam. The U.S. State Department, through its Embassy in Lagos, was warned about this 23 year old radical some time ago. He was put on a list but not the list that would have been most relevant. Thus, aside from his obvious lack of terrorist sophistication, he was very close to bringing down the Airbus Jet he was flying on. It seems that only thanks to a glitch or two, here or there, he may have been successful. Read the rest of this entry »
……….This is the time of the year to recommit to being a better person than you were during the year 2009. No matter who, there is always room for improvement. It is difficult and perhaps impossible to change the world but when people, individually, commit to changing their behavior, for the better, positive results often follow. A resolution may be no more than a decision to become a better listener. Children can get also get into the spirit by deciding to bring more focus and meaning into their lives. Perhaps you might wish to enhance your communication with your significant other. Read the rest of this entry »
