………Senate Finance Committee Chairman, Max Baucus, (D,MT), has led the way in defeating an amendment that would require the posting, on the internet, of any HealthCare bill coming out of his committee. Along party lines, the Democrats disallowed this compelling request to see the light of day. The Senator noted that it would be too much of a challenge for his staffers to comply with such a request. I would have told the good Senator that this is precisely why the Congress has access to professionals. Why would we expect his inexperienced staffers to bear that burden alone? ………Although I appreciate and enjoy some of Bill O’Reilly’s stories and commentary, my one real gripe about him is his uncanny ability to mispronounce almost any and every name he comes across. The way that Bill pronounces some names, you would almost have to guess that he has an attention problem when checking out new stories that he is about to follow-up on through the Factor. ………Congressman Abercrombie, (D,HI) has been in Congress for nearly 18 years. He is planning to run for Governor of the Aloha State, Hawaii. Abercrombie is a devout liberal with strong ties to the Unions on the islands. A bill recently advanced through the House to pay for a move of the Marine Base on Okinawa, Japan to Guam. ………I live in the foothills of Washington State’s central Cascade mountains. No more than 12 miles from my home is a lovely mountain highway (U.S. 2) that runs through a narrow deep canyon. Along this highway, this time of year, there are many beautiful sites to see. The Wenatchee River is on the southern side of the highway and mountains enclose the canyon to both the north and south. Among the three of their most visible anchors/hosts are Greta Van Susteren, Bill Hemmer and Glen Beck. ………MSNBC Hosts make it a club sport to constantly attack FOX News. Intellectual powerhouses like Keith Olbermann actually have named the network FOX Noise. What MSNBC’s Hosts are hoping to do is gather the leftover scraps at the table. ………For sometime, true Constitutional scholars have been discussing the legality of requiring everyone to purchase healthcare under any government proposal. When Congress decided to go ahead with Prohibition, they needed to add an amendment to the Constitution, for that to actually happen.
