Yutah lives in Douglas County. She is closing in on six months old. Yutah comes from a legitimate breeder. Interested owners are carefully screened. These dogs are expensive because professionals are in charge of the breeding process. This is not some kind of fly by night scenario where an idiot like Michael Vick would be randomly matching dogs in a backyard kennel. These people as reputable breeders know their animals and they don’t stupidly match dogs that do not possess the traits necessary to be a loyal dog like pet. Read the rest of this entry »

Billy Ray Harris has fallen on hard times and turned to panhandling to make ends meet. Harris is homeless. On February 8 of this year, Sarah Darling dropped a little something in Harris’ cup. She also, without knowing dropped her wedding and engagement rings in the cup. Later, realizing her mistake she retraced her steps in her mind and that led her back to Harris. Harris, upon noticing the ring, kept it safe, until Darling returned. Read the rest of this entry »
Fish fraud has been around a very long time. It occurs when fish at your local market is intentionally mislabeled. Dishonest fishermen and retailers offer you a lesser fish at what appears to be a bargain basement price. The price is significantly less than the real thing but far more than the actual fish being sold would bring in the market place. When you think that you are buying red snapper, for instance, you are actually getting something like red rockfish. Read the rest of this entry »
Was the BACS Shelter, in or around Emeryville, CA, on legal ground to adopt out a family pet without seriously attempting to contact the owner(s)? I am not sure how much effort was expended by the shelter, if any, to place Bernadette Ferriter’s Lab back home, where he belongs. Paddy, the Lab, is a family pet and was evidently adopted out to an Emeryville police officer after he ran away from home. Read the rest of this entry »
Unlike a lot of those that I am forced to interact with on a regular basis, I am an original. If you only like people because they are like you, don’t bother with me. I can handle being ignored because it is probably a mutual behavior. I am not impressed with people seeking power and privilege in any way possible. Simply put, I don’t like hypocrites. Hypocrites are like ducks, they are very easy to spot, especially with a little practice under your belt. If you see one of those fine feathered friends, for instance, ask yourself, does it look like a duck? Does it quack like a duck? Finally, does it seem to have the waddle of a duck. If so in each instance, I am prone to call that creature a duck. The same goes for a hypocrite. Learn the characteristics, it will enhance your life. Trust me on that one. It seems that one of my readers, an anonymous commenter, believes that based on one of my blogs, I am a zealot. Obviously this reader has no notion of what a zealot is and has not read or understood very many of my blogs. I am convinced that this reader is a one-dimensional thinker; ouch! I am a conservative and I am not necessarily in lockstep with any group or organization politically. Read the rest of this entry »
With all of the hoopla around the area, this photo embodies one of the many proper methods that candidates and their supporters can display political signs in the City of Wenatchee. These sign wavers were caught on camera at 201 South Chelan Street recently. They were standing on the corner supporting some of their favorite political candidates. Read the rest of this entry »
The state’s PDC, Public Disclosure Commission, exists for a reason. There are rules and regulations that exist for a reason. Your local school board exists for a reason. Hopefully that reason is not to use regularly scheduled meetings to plan or discuss election strategy. There is a time and a place for everything. Read the rest of this entry »
