……….Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is hardly a candidate for Profiles in Political Courage. Her seat is safe and yet she has the audacity to expect her colleagues from more conservative districts to disregard the wishes of their constituents and vote for the onerous health insurance reform bill bogged down in Congress. On the other hand, Pelosi’s self-centered elitist constituents are clueless when it comes to America and the real problems. Their solutions generally amount to throwing money at the problem, then walking away satisfied. Her over privileged constituency is most definitely out of touch with respect to what needs to be done to help America. ……….Recently a Pennsylvania school district has been exposed for a very troubling set of behaviors linked to laptop computers loaned to students. The incident that triggered this episode was when the student was accused by an Assistant Principal that he was dealing drugs. The vague images showed the young boy with something in his hand sitting on his bed. Oooops! Now the school says that they have not done anything wrong. ……….Last August as per his M.O., White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel went off on one of his classic rants. This politically charged buffoon has a long standing reputation of attempted intimidation. Rather than struggling with ideas, Emmanuel has chosen, over the years, to, often times, characterize those he disagrees with viciously and unfairly. In the case now being discussed, he referred to some he disagreed with as blanking retards. ……….The President is currently scrambling to find his way in the international arena. He is now referring to the terrorists as, yes, terrorists. His appointees are as inept as ever and he is struggling to keep them safe from those who would fire them abruptly. In the end, this President is as inept as any President before him. He comes out to deliver a supposedly serious message to the American public and his facial expressions and his words are not in sync with the seriousness of the situation. This President comes out at one briefing and is smiling and laughing, giving shout outs to people in the audience. The topic of his remarks, 13 dead military at Fort Hood.
