……….Within the past few days I posted blog number 1,000. In some ways that is a real milestone in the first 250 days of my blog. Only one time that I can recall, did I not post at least one blog for the day. That was a week or so ago and I had some other issues that kept me from doing what I had grown accustomed to doing on a rather regular basis. I have a lot of subjects that I am anxiously looking forward to posting particular blogs. I will be writing a number of pieces about local politics and the cost of ignorance. I will blog about our local County Port Commission and their silly real estate deals over the past decade plus. They have clearly demonstrated that they have no idea about how to manage or promote economic development. With tax monies from property taxes and the state, the monetary aspect has not been a hindrance thus far for these clueless political types. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Taking unnecessary risks can cause great consternation among the general population. These risks can also mean that specialized search and rescue teams are not only put into dangerous situations but tremendous dollars spent bringing them into the search. On Mount Hood (North central Oregon) this past weekend 3 Seattle area hikers sent a text message that they were in distress around the 9,000 foot level of the mountain. One of the hikers was found dead over the weekend. The other two hikers have not been heard from and the weather has gotten nasty, fairly normal for this time of year. Read the rest of this entry »
………Recent the schlock, AKA, Al Gore was on the Conan O’Brien show. He was teeming with optimism and ignorance as he began to spew about the potential for geothermal energy. Unfortunately, as always, he was ill prepared and wrong. As he started to spew his company line, he blatantly went off about geothermal. ………On Tuesday’s night of the scary elections, you could hear the proverbial scream out of the White House, OH ____! Both the President and the slick but ungodly dishonest ramrod of SEIU, had to be swallowing hard. Stern really has no right to visit the White House 22 times in a mere nine months. That is, other than the fact that his union contributed $60 million in cash and kind to the Obama election.
