According to the President of the United States the Middle Class constitutes somewhere in the neighborhood of 97% of the population. That is a real crock, regardless where you put yourself politically. The middle class is perhaps, at the very most, 68% of the population. However, if you ever had a class in either Marketing or Sociology you might understand that much of America is made up of the great upper lower class. Read the rest of this entry »

When statistics are accurately presented to make a point they never lie. The presenter is either going to be honest or dishonest with the results presented. Unscrupulous people, for years, have finagled the results to build an argument when their side is losing, badly. Read the rest of this entry »

I find it amazing that so many adult age people who end up in positions of power think that it is acceptable to behave in an untoward manner. Lying is lying, regardless how you choose to present that particular behavior. It is difficult to cover up and feign competence while all the time one is grasping for straws, not knowing what to do. This seems to be a rather common affliction with many of our local & national leaders. Read the rest of this entry »

I am astounded by the veracity of Brian Burnett’s claims. As I have mentioned previously, he is nothing more than a disgruntled employee in my view. He has interjected his friends, from the East Wenatchee/Douglas County side into our race. He can do that but whose interests does he purport to serve? We pay the taxes in Chelan County for our law enforcement; not those across the river. I am wondering why so many have turned so suddenly on our current Sheriff. One reason is because currently crime is under control. With that, we need people like the Big Bad Wolf, Brian Burnett to create a bogeyman, while demonizing the current Sheriff. Over the past few months I have been battling back from Acute Renal Failure. During that time I have missed some of the key stories in the local news. I have also been battling a general reluctance to write and take on what I consider to be the big story. Now that I am healing and doing somewhat better I will tackle a story that appears to have a more complex set of twists and turns than might be obvious to the casual Cashmere gossip. ……….Wasn’t it the Democrats who emphasized that all they wanted was an up or down vote? Well, it turns out that they really didn’t even want that. Now with adroitness of sleight of hand they, those in those in House, are hell bent on changing the rules just a smidge. In that sense they can move health care forward under the illusion that no vote took place. In fact, Steny Hoyer (pronounced Whore) was willing to make the stupid comment that basically noted the public is stupid enough to actually forget the process that the House engaged in, with this legislation. ……….………. his first year the President has taken the time to travel to various Muslim countries and present himself as a great healer. On the other hand, at the same time, he has made it apparent that a visit to Israel is out of the question. Instead, earlier this week, the President sent his inept Vice President to meet with the Israeli leadership. In my eyes that is an intentional snub. If you have followed the Palestinian initiative over the years common sense would direct you to the fact that they have no intention of reaching an agreement with the state of Israel. They are using their position in an attempt to gain International sympathies by actually thwarting the process. Read the rest of this entry »

……….Things are beginning to get a bit more interesting on Capitol Hill at this hour. The House just voted overwhelmingly to send a request to the House Ethics Committee to look into the issues surrounding the behavior of former New York Congressman, Eric Massa. The Ethics Committee is not bound to follow this House Resolution but if they decide to ignore it, things could get very messy for the Speaker and the House Leadership. The Republicans are asking about when the Speaker knew details of Massa’s behavior and what she may have known. More than 400 members of the House vote affirmatively for hearings to take place regarding this matter. Read the rest of this entry »

……….Democrats love to accuse conservative folks that their letters, comments and general feelings are all based on the notion of Republican talking points. I for one have no canned talking points and have not nor will I ever solicit talking points from anyone. Now it seems, once again, the Democrats are beginning an assault on talk radio. They make it easy for their silly followers. Get this, they even provide talking points to those interested in joining in the fray. When you need guidelines, talking points and other supposedly helpful suggestions, perhaps you should focus on a different calling. I prefer legitimate debate, not some contrived half-baked politically motivated diatribe. Read the rest of this entry »
