We are consistently among the most expensive states in the Union for gas. The national average today (8/26) is about $2.729 for a gallon of unleaded regular. We are about $.40 per gallon more than that. Now some of it is attributable to higher gas taxes but the lion’s share can be set at the feet of BP. Much of our gasoline comes from North Slope oil companies, like BP. BP, for instance, needs to pay for its mistakes in the Gulf of Mexico. In the end, we are clearly paying a heavy financial price to bail them out. Last year we were buying gasoline that was closer to $.17 per gallon higher than the national average. Now this additional $.23 per gallon is coming from somewhere. If anyone has a better idea, please share it.
……….Democrats love to accuse conservative folks that their letters, comments and general feelings are all based on the notion of Republican talking points. I for one have no canned talking points and have not nor will I ever solicit talking points from anyone. Now it seems, once again, the Democrats are beginning an assault on talk radio. They make it easy for their silly followers. Get this, they even provide talking points to those interested in joining in the fray. When you need guidelines, talking points and other supposedly helpful suggestions, perhaps you should focus on a different calling. I prefer legitimate debate, not some contrived half-baked politically motivated diatribe. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Like mindless dominoes, the infamous Blue Dog Democrats are beginning to backtrack and perform their standard set of absurd human pet tricks. Slowly but surely a number of these weak kneed wimps are backing off earlier votes and their earlier political stance on health insurance reform. Although many of them have regrouped at the position of undecided, they have failed to advance their earlier position. Many of them appear to be ready to drink the toxic mix that the administration has prepared for them. They seem more like mindless twits than like the strong populists as they are often portrayed. On an hourly basis it is becoming more and more difficult to find a strong advocate with political backbone on the left side of the aisle in Congress. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Our President’s insatiable appetite for what he gladly refers to as investments, are no more than frivolous spending sprees. His spending is not specifically targeted to assist America. Rather, this screwball is using your tax dollars and your children’s future to reward both sketchy projects and questionable groups. His spending behaviors clearly demonstrate that he is disorganized and clueless when it comes right down to how your money should be intelligently & respectfully managed. ……….Ever since Bedrock Buh-rock proclaimed, yesterday, “I am the President,” I have wanted to remind him that now is the time to start acting like he is, in fact the President. This guy needs to get clue. He needs to acknowledge the fact that he has the political instincts of a three-legged race horse. He needs to accept the fact that his style of constantly campaigning is wearing thin on the electorate. Finally, he needs to understand quickly that what worked last year is not selling tickets this year. In the end, you may be the President, Mr. Obama, but now you need to start acting like it! ……….It is becoming very apparent, after scenarios like yesterday’s encounter at Blair house, that Speaker Pelosi’s position is endangered. Few minds were changed after yesterday’s Presidential fiasco, some were actually hardened, in favor of their position. The President and his Congressional counterparts are beginning to make some inroads, convincing the clueless to go ahead and force through a health care bill with little public support. Yesterday was a blatant attempt by the President and his Congressional cronies to pull the wool over the eyes of American public one more time. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Some new information is out about the hole in our Ozone over Antarctica. In previous years the hole was expanding and that, according to the so-called authorities was a tell tale sign of impending doom. Now the hole is repairing itself and those same idiots are now indicating that action is a sign of impending doom. Do these idiots read what they have previously written, projected? I really doubt that to be the case. Read the rest of this entry »
……….John Stossel, FBN (FOX Business Network), has coined the phrase crony capitalism. He may not have been the originator but I heard it from his lips first. Crony Capitalism is based on the premise that you assist your friends first. With health care the President is pushing hard to make sure that unions with Cadillac insurance plans for their rank & file will not have to pay a hefty tax; others will not be so lucky. Another instance is the case where friends of the President have a financial interest in a company, they may get a sweetheart deal in terms of government funding or some special relief from their cronies on Capitol Hill. ……….Speaker Pelosi appears to love the fact that some of us expect campaign promises to be just that, promises that are going to be kept. Our President is a liar. There is no other way to describe his style of campaigning and governing. When he felt that a lie would benefit him on the campaign trail, he lied. He is perhaps the most disingenuous politician in history. Others have had stories spread, this President spreads his own stories. Hadn’t he noticed that technology provides news agencies with documentation as to what was said, when it was said and where it was said? Read the rest of this entry »
……….Is our President a socio-path? He comes out to deliver a supposedly serious message to the American public and his facial expressions and his words are not in sync with the seriousness of the situation. This President comes out at one briefing and is smiling and laughing, giving shout outs to people in the audience. The topic of his remarks, 13 dead military at Fort Hood. He brings in people to his inner circle and they are more concerned with renaming things (terrorism) rather than protecting the public. Read the rest of this entry »
