When statistics are accurately presented to make a point they never lie. The presenter is either going to be honest or dishonest with the results presented. Unscrupulous people, for years, have finagled the results to build an argument when their side is losing, badly. Read the rest of this entry »
In front of his Union cronies, President Obama must have felt right at home as he continues to struggle to convince an angry America that he finally gets it! The problem, he will never get it. His notion of history is not convoluted, it is just plain wrong. He acts like he is the savior and top promoter for our free enterprise system. Read the rest of this entry »
Recently, more conservative elements of the right had to pressure the NRA to withhold its recognition of Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid (D NV). It seems that the policy of the NRA only revolves around 2nd Amendment issues. In the case of a Senator Reid, he can do significant damage prior to negatively impacting our second amendment rights. For the majority of the thinking world, it should now be quite obvious that elections have consequences. In a relatively short period of 19 months our President and his cohorts in the Congress should be very proud of themselves and what they have accomplished. Just today (9/03/10) Senator Wyden (D OR) was acting and talking like a lifelong opponent of what is now known as ObamaCare. Read the rest of this entry »
………This is the republished version of the original. The original retains only the first paragraph and the original comments. This is one of my most read blogs of all time. I wrote it in early July (‘09) and it still draws a crowd occasionally. Enjoy!
………The excitement emanating from our nation’s capital is so intriguing that it reminds me of the fairy tale Snow White. The problem is that this epic portrayal is far more a nightmare than it is fairy tale! It would seem that we are only having talk about taxes, taxes and more taxes. Then we have the perfunctory explanations that a $.10 charge per can of soft drink will help curb obesity. Who in the world is most obese in this picture? Read the rest of this entry »
Dear Senator Murray, Rasmussen recently reported that you are now behind in the most current polls, one within the margin of error, the other outside. I am hopeful, not boastful, that your tenure as a United States Senator is close to ending. You have served recklessly and without much common sense. Read the rest of this entry »
It seems locally that the gadflies, as usual, are out and about. You will probably never see them but they are there, trust me. They are spewing their messages of hate and ignorance, up and down the greater Wenatchee Valley. I am not sure how often I am a target but I do know that a few them are very busy blindly accusing me and others of being evil. The one commonality of these screwballs is not their political affiliation. The one common thread is that they are intellectual Neanderthals. They are closed minded and completely out of touch when it comes to intelligent thought. I want to win with my ideas in the arena of thought. Read the rest of this entry »
……….How long will it take to undo the die that has been cast? How long will it take for a new Congress to turn back the clock and begin to undo what this President and this Congress have messed with? Over the past 18 months this President and the Congress have clearly demonstrated a lack of understanding when it comes to the economy, the constitution and simple common sense. This President not only lacks the fundamentals associated with political instincts, he actually believes that a majority of the American population is stupid. To the contrary Mr. President, your Harvard credential has not served you well. You are arrogant, insensitive and shallow as you pretend to lead the country during these dire times. I have been gone from my blog for approximately five months. I have been ill and I was actually hospitalized for a short time during my misfortune. I suffered acute renal failure and am now feeling much better but still not close to 100%. During this time I was continually struck by the sheer lunacy of the President’s Administration and their handling of the BP calamity. It was Obama’s appointees that permitted BP to drill in the gulf even though they had been hit with over 700 violations; some of them major. Read the rest of this entry »
……….Things are beginning to get a bit more interesting on Capitol Hill at this hour. The House just voted overwhelmingly to send a request to the House Ethics Committee to look into the issues surrounding the behavior of former New York Congressman, Eric Massa. The Ethics Committee is not bound to follow this House Resolution but if they decide to ignore it, things could get very messy for the Speaker and the House Leadership. The Republicans are asking about when the Speaker knew details of Massa’s behavior and what she may have known. More than 400 members of the House vote affirmatively for hearings to take place regarding this matter. Read the rest of this entry »
